But what better bike to tackle the odd flood than a Beemer traily?
I've long been a convert to the trail bike riding position. My first 250 was a pukka competition bike with that classic sit-up and beg position and for urban street use and traffic splitting, there is nothing close. The only time it falls down if you don't have a screen is above 90, but that Beemer has one.
Too big for me and too ... er...inelegant looking but understandably one of the UK's best selling bikes.
