Re: NHC: onboard videocam?

I got a camera mount from CYCLE GEAR, it has suction cups on four short legs (which won't even hold the mount to the tank) which protect the tank. With the camera in place you can still top off the gas on the Hawk (I had this on my Hawk at ECHR 2007). I used to just bungy the camera to my tank bag..got some pretty good shots that way, but there was occassionally slipage.

We mounted my 8mm cam to Nance's helmet last year (the thing is kind of heavy, Nance has such a good sense of humor) and she got some very good video.

I bought a 20/Twenty helmet cam, it turns out your camera has to have an input, mine doesn't, so I sold that and bought an Oregon Scientific Helmet Camera..it is self contained, records to a 2 GB flash card, used that as my "tail camera" this year at ECHR, but it comes with a handlebar mount and a mounting system to attach to your helmet..haven't figuired out how to mount to my modular though.

I've seen setups rigged up to the gas cap. Not sure if they're out
there for the hawk though. Seems like a helmet cam would be too
jittery...

Maybe not the highest quality but so cheap you could just buy it.

Anybody have any experience with it?
