I have added that call sign to my alerts.? Perhaps I’ll catch them too.? I served in the U.S. Army on 4 continents, I’ve activated SOTA and POTA in a dozen countries.? But like you, I cannot imagine vacationing there.? If I want to see polar bears and penguins I’ll go to the zoo! ?I’m certain there is likely some exotic and extreme winter sport the “rich and famous” can do there.? I ain’t rich and famous!? I saw -40° F on the Meiningen Gap, and _140° F in Wadi Al Batin.? The W-TX and S-NM borderland suits me just fine.? I don’t even own a serious winter coat anymore.? ?? Since retiring from the Army my travels have been limited to the USA and Europe….. and June in the low mountains of northern Bavaria is cold enough.
