For what you are wanting to do, I suspect 8112 would be right up your alley. ?Not far from ABQ, that is, half way to Cuba off 550, plenty of off road, rocky, GREAT views all the way, probably won¡¯t encounter anyone else up there, and you can go around, in other words, return by a different route.
