Check your folder C:\W4ELPLookup\Docs for the "First Time Setup Instructions.pdf" file. It should open automatically on the first time you run the Lookup program and there is no ini file present.

I just checked my new installation and it's working here. Looking at the code, it won't let the program continue unless there's an ini file written (done so by just opening the setup window and hitting Save & Restart).
If the file is missing, I have posted a copy here in the forum under Files > Documentation that can be downloaded and saved to the C:\W4ELPLookup\Docs folder.

If needed, I can post or send you a "starter" ini file to get you going. I think this should be handled in the program in a better manner - something for me to work on.
Let me know if you continue to have trouble with this.

Re: ESC key

Hello Pat,

After some checking, I find that you are exactly right. Since I always run with the hotkeys on, I have never seen this, but it is true.

?

The ESC key combines functions with Numpad subtract and Numpad dot keys. If hotkeys is turned off, the keys send their “native” characters. In this case, a numpad dot and numpad subtract sign, or “.-“.

?

Of course it should not do this. With hotkeys off, ESC should perform the same as its built-in hotkey in DM780. Clear the ALE ot stop transmission depending on where the cursor is.

?

I will get this corrected ASAP. Thank you for finding it and calling it to my attention.

New Update v9.16.1

IMPORTANT: If you have downloaded v9.16, please replace it with v9.16.1 immediately. It was found that right-click capture of callsigns, etc. was NOT working correctly in some HRD versions.

V9.16.1 should provide right-click capture in all HRD versions.?

There may be further minor tweaks posted in the next few days but no major changes until after Field Day.
Sorry if the right-click issue has been as inconvenience or caused confusion.

OK I see the problem – it has to do with the way the program determines which DM version is running. Working on it….

Windows Defender and some other anti virus programs will try to block the program. There should be an option to run anyway. Not sure why it went to your AppData folder. Normally the setup file would go to your downloads folder.

Steve - It is fixed in beta versions but not in a public release yet. I was hoping it would be released by now, but don't know how soon that will happen.

Meanwhile, my current Lookup program DOES provide right-click callsign and exchange capture for all HRD versions. A single r-click captures callsign. If in Contest Mode and you already have a callsign in the ALE, then further r-clicks add to the received exchange automatically.

DM780 Right Click Issue

Ed, I noticed on HRD Issue list that the DM780 right click problem is fixed and will go out in build .106. Any ideas when that is going out?
