?
If you’re not familiar with Rig Expert, they are a leading developer and manufacturer of antenna analyzers, transceiver interfaces, and amateur radio software.?
Their website states all employees are safe and production will not be interrupted. Here’s a link to the website. Article about the incident:
This weekend marks the beginning of the hamfest season. ? The Wash Fest will be held on Saturday in South Park PA. ? Here’s a link to the event details:
Is anyone planning to attend this event? ? It would be really nice if someone could take a stack of flyers about our hamfest and hand them out. ??
And on Saturday March 8th the?Warren County Hamfest will be happening. ? Here’s a link to information about that event:
We could hand out flyers there as well promoting our harvest. ?

Thank you to Allen N3HOC for letting me know about this.??
Good morning everyone, if someone would like to step up and be a net control for the Tuesday night net that would really be appreciated. Unfortunately, I will be starting a Bible study at our church on Tuesday nights and will not be able to call the net at this time. The Bible study is during that time. I will be glad to help out if there’s any weeks that we are not there and I am available. Anyone can be a net control. It is not hard at all, so if you would like to do the net on Tuesday night just let us know and we’ll be glad to get you on board. It is a great net. And only last about 15 to 20 minutes. Of course, we would like to get a lot more people participating and if it lasts an hour, that would be great too. Anyway, hope everyone has a great week and please consider being a neck control for the net. It is a great opportunity and good experience. 73 from Tim. K5TEL

Everyone,
Attached to this email is an updated Clearfield County Amateur Radio Club membership roster.? Hopefully I have everyone's information?correct at this point but if there are any errors or omissions please let me know.
Also, on the far right is a new column titled "ARRL Member".? CCARC is an ARRL affiliated club.? To initially qualify for this status we were required to have at least 51% of our members also being ARRL members.? Recently CCARC applied to the ARRL to have the club designated as a "ARRL Special Services Club" and the topic of ARRL membership came up again.? We have not been tracking ARRL memberships and don't have accurate information.? If you are an ARRL member, and it's not already indicated on the roster, please let me know so we can update the information.??

According to the National Weather?Service's latest update, we should?all be seeing snow?outside right now.? Here in Clearfield County this should be adding up to between 1 to 2 inches depending on your elevation.? And then the sleet will start followed by some rain and finally?some really cold temperatures?with wind early next week.? Check out the attached forcast file from the NWS.? Sounds like a great time!
Stay safe and keep an ear tuned into the 147.255 repeater for anyone with weather updates or requesting information.
Our first "radio night" was held last night and I'd have to say that everyone who attended enjoyed?themselves.? It wasn't standing room only, but with 8 of us in the radio room it was packed!? ?We fired up the Icom IC-7300 and?under the guidance of Lars KB3WBT installed some software on Ed KC3ZAL's laptop and watched the FT8 radio signals coming in.? Yes, some stations even from far away lands like Africa!? Unfortunately?the antenna seemed to have a SWR issue so we couldn't make contact. but I think everyone there learned something about FT8 and is now interested in learning more about FT8.? A huge thank you to Lars who made the radio night what it was!??
If you missed the first one... well you missed something?special.??The next radio night will?be in March .... 2nd Thursday of the month at 7 PM.? Hope to see everyone there.

Some exciting news for everyone today.? Earlier?today Tim N3PUL, our President, received permission from the Clearfield County EMA Director to order not one, but two AnyTone AT-D578UV III amateur radio transceivers for the EMA radio room!? Not only will this fix the issue of the aging Kenwood UHF/VHF radio that doesn't hold its programming anymore, but it will add DMR capability to the EMA radio room.? So hopefully sometime soon these new?radios will be available for use at the Clearfield?EMA?radio room.??
I recommend the 578UV III Plus.? It is a bit more versatile than the Pro version.
That is great news. It is always great to have the county and 911 have confidence that an amateur group like ours is trusted enough for them to help us gear up to help them in an emergency.?
