CCARC Members.... Our first "radio night" was held last night and I'd have to say that everyone who attended enjoyed?themselves.? It wasn't standing room only, but with 8 of us in the radio room it was packed!? ?We fired up the Icom IC-7300 and?under the guidance of Lars KB3WBT installed some software on Ed KC3ZAL's laptop and watched the FT8 radio signals coming in.? Yes, some stations even from far away lands like Africa!? Unfortunately?the antenna seemed to have a SWR issue so we couldn't make contact. but I think everyone there learned something about FT8 and is now interested in learning more about FT8.? A huge thank you to Lars who made the radio night what it was!?? If you missed the first one... well you missed something?special.??The next radio night will?be in March .... 2nd Thursday of the month at 7 PM.? Hope to see everyone there. 73.
