The National Weather Service has updated today's storm prediction for our area.? As of now the entirety?of Clearfield County is within the "Enhanced Rick" area.? We should expect this storm front to include a severe thunderstorm, damaging winds, hail, and up to a 9% chance of a tornado.? The NWS expects the weather front to move into the DuBois area starting at about 2 PM.??

There is an Enhanced Risk (level 3/5) of severe thunderstorms this afternoon/evening, with the highest threat west of I-99 and north of I-80. Severe thunderstorms could produce damaging winds, large hail, and a tornado. For context, Enhanced Risks are only issued 6 times per year on average in Pennsylvania - please take this threat seriously!

Severe thunderstorms will be possible across central Pennsylvania Tuesday afternoon and evening, with the highest risk for severe weather across northwestern Pennsylvania. Further southeast, strong-to-severe thunderstorms are still possible. Damaging winds will be the main hazard with large hail as a secondary concern; however, an isolated, weak tornado cannot be ruled out across western Pennsylvania.
