Well - the repeater currently does have a dual courtesy tone. There was a net last night and Patrica did have someone with no audio trying to get in. I don't know if that was you.

You claim they work simplex just fine??

Have you digested this? This is the "authority" Read all about it...

Specifically look for a "Factory reset procedure" .. Give that a try then retry just 1-2 channels..

Contact me "off groups.io... maybe we can get together this up coming week if you don't have the "2020 cooties"
contact me at..

I Live at 47th south and seneca st.? ?I loaded and the same key up repeater, but no voice. Then I realized I had sent you a file with w0uus set to tsql, so I changed?w0uus to tone..? It made no difference? ? I have not tried w0vfw since there is something going on at the moment.? I am so frustrated?

Mike I am confused.. The only beep W?VFW does? is a courtesy beep at the end of a transmission that is a delay between dropping of the carrier and 1 to 1.5 seconds then Beep then about 2 seconds later the repeater carrier drops. It is generated by the repeater.
?It's purpose is to have all operators standby till the beep to allow others to enter the conversation, hence a courtesy beep.
Also if someone starts talking before th ecourtesy beep, the repeater timer will continue to run, and time out that person instead of resetting the 3 minute talk timer.

A "roger beep" (a carryover from CB not ham radio) is generated by the user's radio. It is to indicate the person talking has ended his transmission. CB does not have any timers.

The W?VFW repeater transmits a DPL tone of 071 but receives a PL tone of 103.5... The reason for that is if they were both the same a spurious transmitter could trip the receiver. That is not our case. The second reason is I hear 2-3 repeaters on our frequency, Topeka, Ponca City and Oklahoma City. Probably because of antenna height and troposphere conditions.

Currently W?VFW is connected to Blind Hams Talk Group. there is light activity, but tonight there will be a net at 8PM tonight..

I've posted twice, once with the chirp file, but it never came?through.? So I reposted with a text paste.? Yes I can get the roger beep from both w0uus and w0vfw, just no audio.? If you do get the file, I posted, from 21 on, was a cut and past from the chirps repeater directory.

Do you get the Squelch tail of the repeater? When you transmit.
W?UUS is about 95th Street and K-15.
W?VFW is at Anna and W. Douglas in
Are you within 5 miles of one or the other?
Those frequency counters I showed you have a trimmer on the rear that you need to zero beat to WWV.

Can you send me a copy of your chirp programming file..
Send it to am_fm_radio@...?

I have fought for a year trying to get me baofeng (uv82, uv82hp, uv5r) radios to connect to w0vfw, and wouus. I've tried chirp, I've tried manual programming.? Right now with chirp, I can key up the transmitter. I get the Rodger beep after I release the transmit button.? All 5 radios will talk to each other on simplex.? So they can transmit.? I bought a little frequency counter that Larry showed me, non of the radios are right on frequency but within 100khz.the frequency seems to be close enough that it keys up the repeater, just no voice. I tried to include the chirp file, but it never posted.?
