Hi gang. It's wednesday night 7pm local.. I usually play cards at the VFW on Wednesday's. Again there were an odd number of players, so I gave my seat to one of the gals. Since it's mostly women and only 3 men play..
The on tap beer is down.. They had only bottles...
I opened up the radio room and decided to check the equipment.
Last week I straightened out TEAM VIEWER and could connect from home.
This week I fecided to look into these 3 programs
WSJT-XFLDIGIHAM RADIO DELUXE
Well I got on WSJT-X and found the configuration between the ICOM 718 and the computer was all screwed up.
I got that straightened out and I have just made 3 FT8 contacts on 20 meters running 29 watts.. One in Canada...
So the ICOM718, Signalink and Computer is now working in WSJT-X.. be sure however to add your call toFILES>SETTINGS> REPORTING> OP CALLSo when WSJT-X logs the contact the entry shows who the operator of W0VFW was.?Also be sure to run NISTIME to syncronize our computer to the time standard so no FT8 messages are lost.
It's interesting that 20 meters is open past dark.. some signals are 10 over S9..
I switched to FLDIGI and set up the rig interface and was copying the ARRL CW propagation bulletin from W1AW almost perfectly....Here is an excerpt:?THEREFORE, MUF VALUES WILL
