For those that don't know RADIO SHACK of DERBY is Closing December 16th, a Saturday..
Mark and Shawn are -semi- retiring after 20 years at the Derby Location.

Radio Shack Derby is also known as B & H sales and fondly as "The Candy Store"

Many people will loose going to a "eyeball meeting" Saturday Mornings...
??????????????? BUT-
There will be life after death a few ways.
#1 Mark will continue to Display and Sell at Ham fests. He is planning on as many as 12 per year up from 6.
#2. We are inviting everyone to uses WAWA... WICHITA AREA WIRELESS ASSOCIATES.. It is a group, you may join for FREE.
#3. WAWA at groups dot IO has been sponsored by Radio Shack for? 3 years now. It will become the DEFACTO place to meet.
#4. Plans are being made for Mark to continue carrying Amateur Radio Gear, and maybe work 2-3 days a week.
#5. Carl will continue to? provide his quality services and repairs; but elsewhere.
#6. The store phone will be ported over to a Cellphone Mark will answer during business hours just like today.

WAWA groups.io is open to all Amateurs, GMRS, SWL's CBers and even electronic enthusiasts. It is a non club. bulletin board available to all
in the Wichita Area. Buy Sell Trade, Announce meetings, swaps, news, births and deaths, anything that is of interest to the Wichita Area Radio boys and girls.
