It also looks as if I forgot our free use of W0VFW@ groups .io does not like anything but text, so what I sent and what was in the meaasge got changed..
Let me make an attempt to provide the link to Allstar link. org node list.. use this link:
Then the Blind hams node list is as follows corrected.
The Allstar node list shows active nodes
0- Freemont Ca.
1- Newark, NJ
2- Ottawa Ontario Canada
3-London, UK
4-Sidney NSW
5- NOT ACTIVE---- Down for some reason.. last ping 00:49 10/25
6- Test bench N2DYI
7- Newark, NJ again.
As of 6:25 AM local 10/25 #5- Plano Texas is back up.
I received this answer from Pat N2DYI.....
"506315 is active, not sure where you're getting that info from. It's connecting all the other nodes together. The buzz was caused by a connected node to 506311, WA2AIB"
So all ends well... yesterday at 9pm my rain gauge has 1.48 inches of rain for yesterday, and resets at midnight at 6:30 am we have 0.59 inch. No antenna work today. No work on the truck. I can prep and pack for TEXOHOMA HAMARAMA Friday and Saturday in Ardmore, Ok and start insulating my addition, then sheet rock.. 60 days to Christmas.. Have a long way to go as relatives are visiting.
For someone willing to take over the repeater-repeaters, there is a wealth of information on ALLSTAR on the internet. All good stuff.. I just am too busy trying to get ready to downsize. Covid and inflation put quite a damper in downsizing,
So--- At least we didn't turn around with our direction finding gear and go hunting in the rain last night. One disadvantage for me to continue is everytime there is a problem the repeater site is 22 miles from my home. and ant weak signal on the input becasue I'm south of the repeater, I may not hear, without 1st going to the site.
