Thanks to everyone that came out to the Sibley State Park POTA activation!
There was lots of interest from passing by hikers and families enjoying the park this morning. It was equally as fun explaining ham radio and "what are you doing" questions from curious kids and adults.
The activation was a success as far as activations go by QRP standards (10watts or less). Band conditions were good on the 20 meter band, although intentional QRM was heard.?
14 contacts (10 required for POTA) were made in about an hour and a half of operation.
