Re: Manually edit HF channel list?
Hi folks, You can not find it in VARA-HF settings. VARA-HF is just a great modem program. The setting is done in Winlink Express. Good luck and have a nice day. Peter , PE1DCD

I followed Lee's info and found the setting, see attached. Looks like it would do what you originally asked for. -- Gary Mitchelson NC3Z/4 Pamlico County, NC FM15 NC AHIMT COML SHARES NCS997

You are of course referring to VARAC v8.06, not VARA-HF. Best regards, Gary, K7eK

Manually edit HF channel list?
Is it possible to manually edit the HF channel list? ?In particular, I would like to remove HF channels I will never use (e.g. 80m band). ?This will make the auto-channel select feature more useful

Re: VARA HF v4.7.7 has AES 256 encryption option for NON HAM users ONLY
I would expect that. The amateur RMS is restricted to P3. Doug Lynch President Aries International, LLC D: +1-321-415-2191 M: +1-478-318-2655<tel:+1-478-318-2655> E: Doug@... Port Orange, FL

Re: VARA HF v4.7.7 has AES 256 encryption option for NON HAM users ONLY
Or, perhaps, the "amateur RMS" has an older PACTOR modem that is limited to P3. Mark - AD7EF

Re: VARA HF v4.7.7 has AES 256 encryption option for NON HAM users ONLY
Where are those "amateur RMSs" located? If they're in the US, perhaps the controlling software on the RMS side is setting their modem to max out at P3. Mark - AD7EF

Re: VARA HF v4.7.7 has AES 256 encryption option for NON HAM users ONLY
I have found that running both SHARES and amateur with the 7800 set to P4 when using amateur RMSs, it only links at P3 speeds. Not a scientific study. Just my observations. W4DBL Doug Doug Lynch Port

In the past VARA has worked very well with pactor using BPQ or Winlink to poll both modems. Its using one or the other. Not both at the same time. I am hoping that the powers that be will allow AF
