Re: Just a Pipe Dream???
Jerome Kutche
Hi Jeff and?Dave ?I checked again and no they are all correct.. In fact if I disable one at a time in config file they all rx/tx the proper rig, Only when all 3 are enable does the VARAHF also keys the VHF Rig and so does VARA FM..
I may abandon this for now... I still have ARDOP working on the VHF RIg running ardopc under the Linux box.. I may take this up again down the road.. Thanks for assist. 73 jerry |
Re: Just a Pipe Dream???
Any chance the VARA FM transmit soundcard setting is on the other Signalink.? In other words, the receive is set right to the VHF SIgnalink, but the transmit got switched over to the HF side?? I've done that a few times.? Receive side looked fine on the waterfall, but was transmitting on the wrong SIgnalink. By the way, I have run three Signalinks on the same computer with no problems, so I know it can be done.? Two Signalinks on HF and one on VHF. --Jeff From: Jerome Kutche <n9lya@...> To: [email protected] Sent: Wednesday, December 5, 2018 1:37 PM Subject: Re: [VARA-MODEM] Just a Pipe Dream??? Its when I have all three that the one for the 706 tx's on the VHF rig so not only does the VARA-FM TX the VHF port so does one of my VARF HF ports.. Signalink PTT is I think just a VOX Function have to have enough TX audio to key.. Just a Pipe Dream???
Jerome Kutche
Good morning ok I have running on my win7 pc remote to Linbpq 2 versions of VARA on 2 signalinks.. All works great..
Signalink one USB AUDIO CODEC (746PRO) Signalink two USB audio Codec (706MKIIG) Note the difference in case that is how I can quickly tell which radio it is linked too .. The correct parts all control the correct radios. Here is the kicker.. If I add a 3rd Signalink the sound card is names : 3+ USB audio Codec (Icom2200H)? for use with VARA-HF It also keys the correct radio and listens to the correct radio.. But now after adding this third signalink... the VARA linked to the 746 will no longer key the 746 but will now key the ICOM 2200H . I checked all soundcards and they appear to disappear if I disconnect the Signalinks one at a time and come back one at a time as I plug them back up.. Any thoughts.. Ya I know kind of a bit much.. But was really wanting to try VARAFM... May be a short attempt. Not spending more then a few days trying to figure it out. Thanks Jerry |

¿ªÔÆÌåÓýYes, it is supposed to look exactly like that when you run it. If you are willing to download teamviewer, I can remote login to your computer and do some hands on troubleshooting. ?This is definitely the weirdest I¡¯ve seen. Please advise your thoughts on a remote troubleshooting session via private email to ae5me at yahoo dot com and we¡¯ll work from there. ¡ªJeff AE5ME On Dec 2, 2018, at 9:52 PM, Jeff Newsome <kd4qit@...> wrote:

Does RMS Ex. hide the modem window for Winmor? What might be happening is the host program, RMS EX., hides the modem graphic after it starts the modem. Did you try holding the ALT key and then press the TAB key to see the open applications? Is VARA one of them? Start things up again and check. Have you tried making a VARA call? I think it's running, just the GUI is hidden because after VARA is started, the host program doesn't need it. The graphic is just a pretty picture. The modem doesn't need the GUI to function. You might have better luck troubleshooting if you worked with someone who runs RMS Express. I have the program here but I don't have time to play with it. 73 - Dave - W7EES On 12/2/18 7:52 PM, Jeff Newsome wrote:
