If you do not update windows, eventually other software that you need to update will not work. If you really want no updates, never connect your computer to the internet.? Consider it communication

I did try the registry editor for "Permanently" Disable Autoupdates. But simply selecting the service and disabling it sets this registry entry and it is not permanent by any means. Looks Like I will

Yes, sorry. OS is Windows 10 Professional. Totally up-to-date. The original USB audio interface used by VARA FM was a "CM108". However, changing the interface to a Digirig made no difference. Note
