I did have setup a Hybride RMS but it is off-air because of local regulations but if needed I can switch on.
It has VHF with Packet and VARA-FM (Wide) , UHF with Packet and VARA-FM (wide), HF with VARA-HF.
The radios are from Motorola GM340 with on each acc-connector a RIM Maxtrac 9600 as audio-interface with PTT.
Vara-FM is more sensitiv than Packet and without license aprox 1.5? times faster than Packet.
With license it goes up to 20 times faster.

My comments:
- With the FT2980 you can not get the higest speed with VARA-Fm becouse it has no "9600 bd" connection and settings.
? At Motorola they cal it "flat audio" or "unfilterd audio".
- Do not use an USB-hub for audio-interfaces; you could lose data.? More USB-hubs I have tested.
- Do not use VOX.? Jos¨¦, EA5HVK, maker of VARA, told me that a delay (attack and de-key) of 200mS will give problems.
