Confirmed it applied to VARA when I looked at the source code at?

Thanks. Yes, that's my situation here. I won't call it a birdie, butit's a whistling, hissing, looks like a ghost on the big waterfall kindof signal that drifts all over the place. It's here today and could begone tomorrow. Annoying.Where did you get this info?Dave - W7EESOn 12/8/18 4:51 PM, Jeff Scoville via Groups.Io wrote:In your connect script in the BPQ32 Mail system, put OVERRIDEBUSY on a line by itself, before you initiate the connection. ??I don¡¯t suggest using it in unattended operation (as you could transmit right over someone) but if you can audibly check that the frequency is clear and you have local interference or a birdie, it will allow you to get past the busy detection.

Jeff, Can you share the command name and options?

We¡¯ve been able to switch off the busy preventing connection attempt on BPQ32. ?It is one of the options in the config. ?I assume the same could be added to RMS programmatically.

Winmor - I had the same issue yesterday evening. Are they fishing for
more money from re-registration? I too, rebooted and all was well.
VARA - An annoying feature, the busy detector triggers on Any noise on
the channel. I have one of those "ghost-shadow" signals floating around
on 7.101. It sounds like a harmonic or mixed signal FM-ing birdie,
except it's not a discrete, stable signal. There's no adjustment for the
detector sensitivity or a way to just turn the dang thing off. Another
annoyance with this stuff.

Yes but unless I am missing something I am excuding it from my FW and AV

On a different note this morning one of my WInmor ports reported it was
no longer registered when I entered my code.. It said it was not valid
for my callsign.. Winmor is also excluded and I then had to reboot to
get it to take it correctly.. Interesting..

We have software to help us detect potential threats and vara gets
snagged by the software. Apparently, there is a problem.
I'll send the dude an email and ask him what the deal is.
