I use FM Data mode for VARA FM on my 991. Set audio input for that mode to USB in the menus then you don't have to keep switching back and forth when you use FM voice. Once you get it working, save to a memory.

Hey all you FT-991 VARA FM ops,
I surrender, my FT-991 based VARA HF works as expected.? My issue is with VARA FM audio throughput.? Transmit keys, but no audio passes either way.? Since HF audio works what is the FM mystery setting that this OM just can't seem to sort out.? It would seem to me the setup would be identical though it appears not so.
Anyone using the plain FT-991 on VARA FM?? I need you audio setup menu settings, please.
