Re: DRA-30 Audio card

¿ªÔÆÌåÓý

Greetings All,

Quick question I have the DRA-25 to HF rig via Signal link or not.?? Want to use it with my FT-100-D Yaesu HF rig.???

I already have the signal link plugged into that digital plug in back of FT-100 but was thinking¡.. Could I just run the outputs of the DRA-25 input & outputs into the BACK of the Signal Link since it has an aux conn etc¡.

I can always run a separate cable w/connector which I have to FT100 from the DRA-25 but do I really need to¡. Just brainstorming¡

Any thoughts on this .??

I can just have both plugged into separate USB ports on my computer and go FT8/¡MT65 digital with another program or go over to VARA HF/winlink etc¡. with DRA-25 or not???? Just trying to avoid pulling out FT100 and changing plugs everytime I want to use DRA-25 to make it more convenient.? Was about to research it but wanted any opinion on piggybacking it into Signal Link if possible... or just bypass Signal Link and just use DRA-25 for everything digital FT-8¡, winlink, Vara HF etc.? See attached back of Signal Link

Rich

Subject: [VARA-MODEM] DRA-30 Audio card

?

Hello Everyone,
I am seriously contemplating picking up a DRA-30 for my VFM node and one for one of my Go Kits. Both both run Kenwood TM-D710GA's flawlessly. Currently I have a Signalink being used as the VFM audio card plugged into?
the rear DATA jack of the D710G on Band B. Band A runs a 9600 OTA AX25 Packet node.?

I know I will need DIN-6 (DB9 to 6DIN) connector they make but aside from this cable and the 30 itself, do I need any other hardware? I noticed they also sell a DB9-FEM RJ45 adapter as well. I think they would allow the DRA-30
to work with my HT as I have a Cable for my D72 (K1 to MALE RJ-45 for the Signalink).?

Thanks!
Steven
