Re: tailstock end of Unimat alloy bed...
That is a logical fallacy. The person who innovates adapts itself to the world and is not unreasonable. The one who does nothing and does not adapt at all will become extinct. How many Neanderthals

Re: tailstock end of Unimat alloy bed...
Hello All: I thought this was insightful: A reasonable person adapts to the world. An unreasonable person expects the world to adapt to them. Therefor all progress depends on unreasonable people.

Many or most of us like to tinker or experiment. However, Andrei's statements are correct the majority of time.

Re: tailstock end of Unimat alloy bed...
Andrei, If we all carried that same attitude there would be no such thing as innovation and we would still be living in the Dark Ages. History has shown us the value of continuing improvement in all

Nope, not a big thing. Just fiddling with some ideas. And may have gone overboard with the 600mm guide rod. But it will go nicely in the scrap pile, if it doesn't work.? Bill in OKC William R.

In my world, better is the enemy of good enough. Many an opportunity or resource is wasted to try and better something that worked just fine the day before. ________________________________ Sent:

Re: tailstock end of Unimat alloy bed...
Is this such a dire need in the Unimat world? I mean, it is a tiny lathe, meant to make tiny things. For big stuff, just use a bigger lathe. To me, it makes sense. Am I missing something?

Re: tailstock end of Unimat alloy bed...
