James, one other option is Microsoft OneNote. Do a screen capture of the text, Mozilla's new PDF reader has one built in, and paste it into Microsoft OneNote, then use the built in Object Character

The way to circumvent a PDF is to import it into a "Word"/similar product
and highlight sections of text.
Then paste the text into another document. Then offer that up to
"whatevertranslate".
