iGaging Digital 6¡± Digital with remote
I just purchased an igaging 6¡± digital read out with remote display. I am going to mount this on my Unimat DB200 to measure linear travel. If this works well I will also mount another readout to measure cross travel.
If anyone has implemented something similar I would appreciate hearing about your experience and any advice. ¿ªÔÆÌåÓýEverything sold by Niels is priced at ungodly levels. I think he only dabbled in business as a pass-time

That too is a lot of money - but just 25% of what Niels charged.

Re: New Mr Pete Unimat video up
My husband just found Mr. Pete videos and was surprised when I told him, I watched them the week he went on vacation with son #2, I was traveling to our miniature show and workshops, so I haven't been online much for a while.
I'm definitely watching the series... but I would really like Mr. Pete make accessories with the unimat. I had a serious bout of equipment envy when he used a Bridgeport mill. Tamra |
Re: For sale in Austria: EMCO UNIMAT 3 with many acccessories incl. original EMCO cabinet
I do think this one is less expensive the one posted in the Niel's photos... but that is purely from memory, that I have the price and seller in my head properly.
I keep forgetting to play the lottery, so I'm trying to keep lathe acquisition disease in a sleeping state. Tamra |
Re: For sale in Austria: EMCO UNIMAT 3 with many acccessories incl. original EMCO cabinet
My pleasure, Tamra, and yes I would have expected that this sale roused your interest - just because of the pictures of the wall cabinet. Like you, I am not in the market to buy another lathe though, even if it has such a plethora of accessories and what have you. At the end of the day, we don't want to end up as an EMCO Unimat museums but rather just want to have a practical workshop, isn't it?? ? ?

Re: 24Volt DC Unimat Motors
Ciao. Secondo me le cinghie rotonde in PU vanno benissimo. Io uso quelle. Allego PDF. When I fit the DC motor to my U3 I will probably make a set of pulleys as well, to give maybe four basic speeds, but I have a scheme in mind to add a real back gear as well to extend the to lower speeds. I will probably use a 150 W motor. The usual type is a simple bolt on replacement. |

For the drive belts I might try the small Vee belts fitted to many sewing machines, but that will mean having a tensioning lever in the drive, so it can be slackened off to move the belts around. |

No doubt about that. I just meant to share without any personal interest myself - no relationship between me and the seller.?

No idea whether this seller (based in Vienna)? will ship overseas but here you go - €1150 is the asking price. On top of the cabinet you will also notice the original carton box in which the set may have been acquired??
