In late 1950¡¯s they changed inch and feet to 1" = 25.4 mm.

Ball bearing in 1920s and 1930s was designed around the metric system.? But using inch bar stock. So you machine a little and the bearing fit .?

The biggest problem is the one inch vs 25 mm.? If they have a metric around a inch? . Like 25mm = one metric inch a better name like IMG so let would say I need 5 img or 125mm? basically witch say? would 5or 125 on job site. That like saying I need? 80/16 on job site.?

I do not why they Celsius just use?Fahrenheit. The guy how invented Fahrenheit design around using it. In Celsius we have ?¡ã to be about same as 1¡ã Fahrenheit.

Myself because ball bearings I had to deal with metric most my life. Use both you can quickly see why the slow change?
