I have both SL/db and U3 models. I also have long bed 16¡± Sherline with factory dros.?
You can add 1¡± riser blocks at head and tail and cross slide. This then almost swings 6¡±. I have this setup.?
Full sets of ww8 collets and closer are available.?
Sherline is my choice for best.?

Just looking at options between Unimat and Sherline Lathe. Which one is better for small work? I have the Unimat. The Unimat is no longer produced. The Sherline is still produced and has an active following in the micro machining realm. The Sherline also has all kinds attachments and is quite expensive.
