Neil,? many thanks for the link to the mags, this is something I have been interested in doing for my U3 that i am restoring although I do have a Emco power feed on mine but you have to change the belt around to change direction so have been drawing up a way of fitting a DC motor to it to get left and right movement, and I also came across another article in one of the mags for fitting a camera to view the lathe whilst working it (eye sight getting as old as me now).
