Oh, it definitely cuts, but it was slow on steel. I can still cut plastic and brass with it, but I will take the steel to a bigger lathe in the shop.

Hi Andrei:
I`ve made loads of things in the 45 years with my Unimat. From #80 holes to 3/4" in aluminum. It doesn't do heavy cut but it will cut. Carl.?

The Unimat is a new thing to me; got here from larger lathes. I made recently a pivot bolt for a pocket knife. It was ok-ish. Cutting steel was slow, but it worked out OK, in the end. I will use a larger lathe, next time i have to cut steel.

Anyway, the point of my message is go where the inventory is available. Amazon sells boatloads of O-rings and even O-ring stock in 15 ft lengths, if that is what?you need.?

Make your life easier, whenever you can.?
Andrei,
I believe you are exaggerating when you talk in terms of a billion years.
I suggest you comeback to reality.?
Have you ever produced anything useful with the Unimat?
If so, could you show us what you use the Unimat for? I for one, would enjoy seeing what you use the Unimat for.
