This latest string about the Unimat DB/SL Sabre saw and Fret saw has reminded me that I could use some help from the group. ?

The blade guide “tube” for the Unimat fret saw appears to really be just a rod with a slot in it to guide the blade.? There is a short tube (possibly split at the back) that fits over the bottom end of the rod to keep the blade captive in the slot.? (Please see the attached illustration and instructions.)

Unfortunately, my own Unimat fret saw was missing the guide rod when I received it and I will have to make one (as I have never seen that part come up for sale).? If anyone does have this part, I would greatly appreciate it if you could measure it (length, diameter, slot width and slot depth) and send me the dimensions. ??
