That's why I bought 2, 3 & 4 flute cutters in each size, but I found no problem with 4 flutes. I don't know what alloy I was cutting. Some of it started out as die-cast plates for small mechanisms, and they cut very clean. It may have helped that the cutters are all carbide. I did get clogging on the 90¡ã burr cutting a 2 mm wide groove, but a bit of watery stuff soon fixed that (my brother found WD40 worked well). After a few seconds the water looked like aluminium paint, the swarf was so fine.
