Hey guys, another slightly off-group post. Sorry. It is lathe related though so please forgive me ! :) So i have an Axmisnter/Sieg C0 Baby Lathe and it came with a compound toolpost that is supposed to allow you to set it for cutting tapers, chamfers etc. You basically need to remove the existing toolpost and put this on on in its place. Its simple enough to do as the toolposts for these lathes are secured via a simple tee nut. The compound toolpost locates in a circular recess above/in the t slot and rotates around this pivot point. However while there is a, kinda, index of the degrees screwed onto the rear of the toolpost dovetail there is no corresponding 'Zero' mark on the crosslide to set the toolpost too ! So how do i set it up to some arbitrary angle like 25 degrees ? Its available on the index but what do i reference it too ! ? Hope someone can help. Cheers and Kind Regards.
