It may not help as much as you'd like, but certainly can't? hurt! I have(had) pdf copies of all three of Lautard's Bedside readers. Lost the 3rd reader pdf somehow, but a year or so ago the revised (1st) Bedside Reader was published, and I bought a copy. Almost sprained my wrist getting the card out to order it! :) His site updated to mention it, and that he's updating the 2nd & 3rd Readers. I'll be repeating that as each comes out.?
I missed a use set of 3 on eBay a few weeks ago. Hope that's the ones you got.?
When I took my machine shop class, I learned? (once again) that reading helps but practice is a major necessity.? Lautard's books will give you a lot of incentives to get that practice! So many neat ideas, and tips to help do things faster, easier, and better!

I do have some of the Home Shop Machinist Magazines - shipping UK books and magazines are rather expensive, so I've refrain from the expensive shipping experience.? I will likely buy Tubal Cain's book on ornamental turning; that is an OTI lathe in the photo of the link that Bill in OKC embedded.?? I also bought the Bedside Machinists books by Guy Lautard...
