Hello
Dick:
I'm
sure it is in the files, but the concept is simple.
Mount a
chuck where the pulley is, the threads are M12x1. Put a rod
with the pitch you need, any diameter will work.
Use a
bracket to mount a nut on the rod. Leave the quill unlocked so
as the spindle turns it advances with the threaded rod.
It is
best if you can include a crank on the end of the threaded rod
so you can crank the part back and forth as you advance the
threading tool.
This
set up is good for 25mm of thread at a time, and then you can
move the threading tool for more length. Use the carriage to
"re-time" the tool to the thread.
Good
luck, Carl.

Several years ago Mert described a method of threading on the
Unimat using a threaded ¡°Leader¡± and a threaded shaft as a
follower.
Can anyone direct me to that information?
Thanks,
Dick
