This will be fun to follow.
I'd recommend buying some soft metal drift rods and a socket set, and cleaning as much gunk from shafts before driving them thru a casting though. I was cringing when he mentioned "the ends of this shaft and mushroomed or burred making it difficult to drive it off " --- and then kept tapping!!

Juan - thanks for pointing this out... I think I may need the assembling the unimat instead!
That will be a good project for tonite... dis-assembling and re-assembling and doing some maintenance
with oil / grease...I will get my manual out...
