I posted some of Mert's photos years ago. He was having problems accessing the forum and sent the picture to me. I posted them in Photos as Mert's Mods.
You can see his cast iron base, buried amongst some typical workshop clutter along with other mods he was discussing at the time.
Glad to hear he's doing OK. I always liked his straightforward approach to solving problems, and his occasional response when people needed some sort of tooling - "You've got a lathe, so make it"
