Right.
I've got a few more questions at this point.
- The little red lead coming from the capacitor (1.) connect to the earth/ground, right?
- Is this little "lip" (marked "??") here for anything specific or is it just fairly random?
- I am right in assuming that the two black wires connect to the brush holders too, together with the capacitor, yes? Haven't figured out which goes where yet.
(I'm assuming the last owner had used the correct cable colours for pos/neg.. Anyway, it used to work!)
