Hi all. I¡¯m new to this forum, and want to thank you all for keeping it alive.
I have a Uni Mk4.. .. cast iron unit. With the old bolt .. the one with the hole in it.. I find that this machine while a great machine, does not lock the headstock as tightly as the zamak unit.. in part cause CI is quite slippery and the bearing sufface is smaller.. this problem is bad in the lathe mode but REALLY bad in the mill mode.. I wonder if someone had come with a solution to this problem in the shape of some attachment that might lock the headstock more securely that prevents over tightening the locking bolt.. thanks
