Maps... What a headache. I'm new to APRS, new to UI-View, and new to this group. I spent all last weekend trying to figure out how to load a map. Most of the prior software programs are no longer available. What's really tough is you have to wade through all of the changes the last several years to get to that point. I almost gave up. At this time I am using these - Chris van Gorp's website

Not sure if there is something better out there, but I was able to get them to work. Looking forward to getting everyone's suggestions as going it alone last weekend almost didn't end well. Glad I'm in the group now.

Just to affirm. Precision Maps 9.0 will work on Win8.1 also. I have been
using it for a couple of months now with no issues.

Can't get the Scheduler to work properly on Win8.1 tho' (wont restart)

I would get the latest version - Precision Mapping Streets and Traveler V9 - Map & Travel Planning Software. That is the only version that UnderTow is still registering. That is what I am running in WIN 8.1. See the information at the bottom of any of the ui-view messages.
