Keith,
Good advice. I¡¯ll uninstall and reinstall in c:\UI-View32.
But the odd thing is that even though the named log file is not in the LOGS folder, I can see it and play it through the menu.

The Log files are usually stored in the LOGS folder
in the UI-View32 program files.
What is your operating system? If it's anything newer
than XP, you shouldn't have UI-View installed in
Program Files. With UAC (user access control) Windows
doesn't like anything modifying files below Program
Files. Yes, you can get around it by fiddling with
things like "install as administator" and/or "run as
administrator" but it's far easier to just install
UI-View somewhere else. If it's installed below
Program Files, and you haven't jumped through a few
hoops with install and/or run as administrator, UI-View
won't be able to create the log files... or save
the station list, or messages, and so on. I'm
assuming you are using an operating system newer
than XP. If you are, just close the program, uninstall
it, and re-install it somewhere else.... e.g.
C:\UI-View32 or C:\RADIO/UI-View32 or whatever.
I usually use the default (date) log names. The last
few logs I have made are playable in the program but
there is no file by that name saved in the LOGS folder.
Is there a limit to the number of log files? Are they
stored elsewhere?
I suspect your problem is that UI-View can't create the
log and other files. If they aren't there, you can't
play them.
Why can I see and play the log in the drop-down list
in the Play Log menu item, but there is no file in
the LOGS folder?
Are the log files that you can play the ones that were
placed there when the program was installed? I suspect
the ones you can't play just aren't there because UI-View
can't create them.
