Hi All

The first crashing digi because of breaking the rule of 8 has been found
PA0HWB-2 has gone down by some frames comming from england via belgium
PA0HWB-2 is running stealth digi on BPQ, we're not sure if it is the digi
software or BPQ that stops working

It is a reception problem so it's not stealth digi that let it grow to
long (what digi is the problem is unknow)

I hope it can be fixed as PA0HWB-2 is the only link to belgium and most of
the time england

Just scanning through the messages and saw this, I have recently upgraded to

The same cure worked again!

I just downloaded UIPath from OneList, installed it, and attempted to
execute it from under the File menu of UI-View.

I get an error message that reads, "Unable to establish a DDE link to
UI-View" and the window closes. I've looked through the documentation
for UIPath, but nothing seems to jump out at me as to the culprit.

I am running UI-View in "None" mode and no WinPak, if that helps at all.

Any thoughts?

Yep, the Mic-Lite is a complete AX.25 TNC transmitter on a 1 by
1.7 inch micro miniature board that is capable of sending 5 analog
channels of telemetry and 8 data bits. It also sends a BText and GPS data
if a GPS is attached to the serial port. It is so small, you can build it
into most microphones!

The Mic-Lite can operate in either the MIM Telemetry mode, or as a
Microphone Encoder (Mic-E) to include GPS and telemetry data on the
tail-end of a voice transmission.

Included with the package is a file Mic-Lite.txt that shows you how
to make a Mic-E with only 2 external diodes. Or you can add as many front
panel switches to add more Mic-E functions such as PATH selection, MESSAGE
selection, or variable PERIOD rate. The Mic-E is a way of adding this
data to the tail-end of a voice transmission as soon as the PTT drops.

It is $79 ea or $69 in 10 or more +$4 S&H...

For details, see
To see some Mic-Lites:

Or download all the docs from tapr.org/aprssig/dosstuff/APRSdos and get
the MIM.ZIP file...

Re: THD7E

Ciemon G0TRT

Hi all,

You can't use UI-View and the D7 with GPS as a "smart tracker", it doesn't
work as it should. UI-View doesn't see the data from the GPS via the D7.
I've played with it a lot and had no success in getting this to work
properly.

It's possible to bodge it, but all you end up with is UI-View messaging
with a dumb tracker. Whilst it "works" you can't use the UI-View "smart
tracker" features i.e. tx timing.

Etc...

UI-View doesn't understand $PNTS, because it's not something that a
mobile would normally transmit. You need to configure the TH-D7E GPSTEXT
parameter to an NMEA sentence that UI-View does understand, try adding
"GPSTEXT $GPRMC" to the CMD file. I *think* it should then work, but I
can't test it because Kenwood UK took my loan TH-D7E back a few months
ago. :-(

Yes, right-click on any symbol and select the Font option.

Yes, right-click on any symbol and select the Font option. Small Fonts 6
point Regular works quite well. Owing to one of the great mysteries of
Windows, if you select Small Fonts 5 point, it changes it to 4 point,
and that is too small.

Right-click on a symbol and use the Colours options. Transparent isn't
an option.
