Re: Stolen Object

Well, according to the aprs TO-CALL id, that packet was generated by KD5BIG
using APWWxx APRSISCE win32 version.

Perhaps a question to Lynn, the author of APRSIS32 in his support group
could help sleuth the issue.

Well - for instance ...
I don't have them pushed out now, but when I do:

I have created 67 objects that are TACTICAL locations involved in an exercise we do here each year in the west valley. I painstakingly handmade all the locations of the sirens surrounding a tactical asset.

I have them in a file on my laptop and RUN them the week before the exercise and also during. I have plans on running them when we go out to check the markers for locations.

IF a beacon or object is suspected as being superfluous, it would behoove the observer to contact the originator for clarification before making ANY adjustments.
It is not my system or your system ... it is all of our system, collectively!

Probably.? If you use individual friend filters (f/call/dist), you will get not only the specified call, but also all stations within dist km of that call.? Sometimes that's handy to see.? There is a limit of up to 9 friend filters.

I moved the UI-View support group over to groups.io almost a year ago. Unfortunately, it was done literally the day after they doubled the price of moving everything over in one go!

Other than that, it has definitely been a much better experience here on groups.io. However, after inquiries from Adriano IK2CBD about not being able to create a folder and upload files to it, I just discovered that for the past year, members have not been allowed to do this! Please accept my apologies, but this has now been corrected.

Re: Igate not uploading to IS

Hey Monty,

I guess I wasn't very clear with my question. It has nothing to do with local stations like mine kc7rjk-xx, it seems the EUGENE iGate-ed packets aren't being accepted by the IS servers. If you look at you'll see that there is no list for packets sent to the IS anymore. Looking at any path data will tell you the same for all of the stations around EUGENE digi/iGate.

My thought Igates (recently) need a call sign instead of location to be accepted into the network. This was something I dealt with before and I'm guessing the powers at be have changed the IS filters.

I would like to keep running the EUGENE digi iGate and wx as it is. So users have an idea where object packets ect are coming from. Most of us who have played with aprs for 20+ years understand this.

Best regards,

Ross

Hello all,

My (EUGENE) iGate/Full Digi is no longer uploading packets the IS server.
It
must have quit in the last few months after uploading flawlessly for many
many years.

It looks like it's ignoring incoming EUGENE iGate packets.

Should I try different server? But if my understanding is correct they all

follow the same rules.

Any thoughts?

Subject: [UI-View] Igate not uploading to IS

Regards,

Ross kc7rjk

Re: UI-View32 Invalid Registration

You don't use "your" name you use "online". I got caught on that one, read
the instructions carefully, I had to reread.

Hello,

I received a registration number, but I receive the message "invalid
registration number." I typed my name and call sign exactly as entered for
registration.
