Uiview is simple to activate,of course its not "technological" as some software but it depends what are your needs.

i have been using for decade and still is doing a good job for me

Eldon,

UI-View was frozen in time upon the death of the programs author. He
decided that after his death the program would not be further refined.
Fortunately a number of devoted users have found ways for the dedicated
UI-View operators to continue the use of the program with windows.

The supporting operators have patched us through the multiple up dates
to Microsoft operating systems and so we still get to enjoy the UI-View
functions.

But UI-View is not a plug and play microsoft program. To use it you must
study your own computer, your operating system and how they work with
UI-View.

If you are not interested in that requirement, perhaps you should move
to a newer APRS program and find the plug and play APRS program that
might better suit you.
