The FTM-400 is a very nice radio, for voice (FM & C4FM)
as well as send and receive text messages & pictures in
C4FM, and as a stand-alone APRS radio. Just keep in mind
that it will be receive only sending data to UI-View. You
can't have UI-View send to RF on the FTM-400 unless you
add an external TNC. In many ways, it is the most deluxe
radio that I have ever used, but connected to a computer,
data from the TNC will be one way.
