Is it possible to obtain the full version somewhere? Does YAAC work better?
Any other options?

Precision Mapping is no longer available commercially. However, it has been
seen from time to time on the Bit Torrent file-sharing networks where a 3.5GB
file containing an ISO image of the DVD-ROM can be (sometimes) downloaded.
Download and install the useful search tool "Torrrent Rover" from
<> to search multiple torrent index sites
simultaneously. (You will also need a torrent download client such as
"uTorrent" or "Tixati" to do the actual download.)
Copies of Precision Mapping 9.0, installed from ANY DVD or DVD ISO image,
can still be activated via the on-line "RegisterMyApp" website. Currently this
site is still available, but even if it disappears, you can still use Precision
Mapping with UIview WITHOUT activation.
It turns out that the activation process is only required to use the
stand-alone Precision Mapping program. (UIview and the PMap Server 9 plugin
only use Precision Mapping's data base and one DLL component; not the main
program.)
Further, static (fixed non-zooming) maps, like the Precision Mapping screen
caps I emailed you earlier, can be had from a variety of sources, and used with
UIview. A useful tool for capping maps from Google Maps, Microsoft Bing and
many other sources, as fixed map images, is "Universal Maps Downloader".
This Windows program can download dozens (or hundreds) of adjacent map tiles
from these websites and automatically stitch them together into much larger map
images. Full details are in this review on my website:
