Can someone pls point me to a method to connect
correctly to APRS server?
Start by clicking on FILE - Download APRS Server List
and change the URL to...
aprs2.net/APRServe2.txt
except it appears there is still a problem with the URL.
The file doesn't exist. If you load it in your browser
() you an error message,
just like UI-View does.
If you browse to , you see a message
saying "The APRS Tier2 Network Home Page is almost ready!"
so perhaps some re-design is being done.
For now, you could temporarily use the following URL
in UI-View to download a server list...
ui-view.net/files/APRServe2.txt
It is from March 12 2016, but hopefully it is newer
than the one you are using.
If you go to the following URL, you will see a list,
but you can't use it in UI-View. You could however
copy the text from the web page and paste it into the
file that UI-View uses. The text file that stores the
list in UI-View is in the "text" folder below where
you have it installed.
Does anyone have on any info on when/where the official
list will be available again?
PS - a better subject would have been something like
"APRS servers" or "updating APRS servers". I changed
the subject.
