Re: UI-Path DX Announcment

Hi Ev

Yes nothing special just calls the program you specify. Certainly on mine it
just ran windows media thing and played a wav file. Check you can double
clik on a wav file in windows explorer and it plays.

As far as you wanted to connect to your modem I seem to remember there being
a simple way to open the com port in QBASIC then if it is hayes compatible
you could send somthing like
ATZ
ATDT <telephone number>
then I think wait for a bit log send the
appropriate login and message text and hang-up.

Worth a go...

Hi Andy,
As implemented, each time a DX milestone is tripped, Internet Explorer
launches and leaves me at a file management screen of some sort. A new
session launches for each DX alarm. No sound, though. After a couple
of minutes, I must have a dozen IE sessions on my taskbar.

I attempted to change the launching program to windows MediaPlayer, but
that gives errors. Is it a simple file-path thing?
