Hi All,
Although I am a beginner to UI-View/APRS, I'm definitely not new to Packet!
I have a Kantronics KPC-9612 and have set it up to beacon GPS information,
however the packets it sends are not recognised by UI-VIEW.
WinPack displays the following on receipt of the packet:
G1HUL>CQ:
$GPGGA,114745,5241.111,N,00116.268,W,1,00,2.0,181.7,M,48.5,M,,*5F
Set "MCOM ON" on the TNC you are using with UI-View/WinPack. UI-View
works differently to most other APRS software, in that it applies a top
level filter and discards all frames that aren't UI frames. Unless MCOM
is ON, it can't tell the frame type.
(Setting MCOM ON is mentioned in the "Comms Setup" section of the help.)
