Hi all
Can someone tell me how to get UIVIEW to ping other stations,
I can sometimes ping stations if I can hear them direct, but I have had no look
using a reverse digi path. I just get the message that the ping has failed.
As far as I can see the stations are using various versions of UIVIEW, so I
can't see where the problem is.
There probably isn't a problem. The chance of a ping getting through and
the ack getting back is inversely proportional to the number of digis in
the route. Such is the nature of an unconnected network. Also, some
links will be effectively unidirectional - digi 'A' can hear 'B' but 'B'
can't hear 'A'. This happens because of performance differences in the
equipment being used.
