What are you doing during lockdown ?
?So during this time what are we doing I don't know about you guys but the club I belong to was an important part of my life . ?In these times it's important to keep those contacts and the club going so I decided to run a game of sharp practice for the club over Facebook using a table in my garage ?and video recording things like the drawer of the chits dice rolls and of course placement of figures at the moment we're on turn one and it's a French Indian war game the British are attacking a French settlement .

Where possible finishing old projects that fell by the wayside as the wargames butterfly flapped it's wings. Currently finishing my AWI American forces (2 Brigades) and then sorting out what I will need if anything for the British. Will then finish my pirates as it appears Blood and Plunder will be popular with some of my club after the enforced break. Will also be looking for Infamy, Infamy to be published so that I can sort out my Romans, Gauls and Greeks. Oh, and working on my conversions of OO gauge railway rolling stock so that they will be narrow gauge 28mm items and multiperiod. At least that's the intention, so far have completed two battalions of infantry and looking working on the cavalry for both sides on the AWI. These were already 1/2 done a few years ago. I know Rich hoped to publish Infamy Infamy at Salute, can we expect a date soon? ?

I chat daily via Google Hangouts with the guys in my gaming group and
we will be doing online game sessions. I am making progress on the Adeptus Titanicus box set I bought when it came out, built and then promptly stopped painting. And I got back into LEGO. Been wanting to for years as a mate is a hardcore collector and the new kits are brilliant. Now I had the chance to support my FLLS (Friendly Local Lego Store) and kill quarantine time so took the plunge with the Roadmaster bus kit. Great fun and now eyeing the Lad Rover kit. Working from home for the last 3,5 weeks, but that is going well, so don't really get that much extra hobby time during the day. My 4h commute goes to longer working hours and a lie-in in the morning (half past 7 rather than half past 5!!!). But I do stay up later and have been painting stuff - have completed 8 units for Star Wars legion in the last month, as well as loads of scenery, and some of the figures for Mice and Mystics. Obviously no more nights out or gaming nights :-(? But as Thomas said, we do chat a lot, and are planning some online gaming. Apart from that I've reorganised my gaming stuff in my room, it's much more efficient now (and I have found loads of stuff that I couldn't remember I had :D ) If Infamy Infamy gets out, I'll buy some (more) Romans and Celts and will paint those. Take care, Lardies! Koen Op zo 5 apr. 2020 om 12:36 schreef Thomas Nissvik <thomas.nissvik@...>: I chat daily via Google Hangouts with the guys in my gaming group and --

Not changed a lot, worked from home anyway! Prepping figures to spray, in between rebuilding my workspace after it was gutted to have new windows put in. And prepping master casts for my new ranges of figures!

¿ªÔÆÌåÓýRight before the lockdown here in North Carolina, US, my landlord decided the house needed interior painting and new floors.? So we moved 95% of the house (including 100% of my gaming stuff) out of the house.? And now I can¡¯t game squat because it¡¯s all packed up nicely out in the garage. ? Sigh. ? I did run a remote IABSM with 6 friends chiming in and deciding where units would be emplaced and enter and where they would hopefully move towards.? IABSM has a lot of friction anyways, so they knew that my interpretation of their intentions would be problematic.? It took 2 days to run and a couple of days to get everyone on the same page, but it was a nice diversion.? Planning on running another smaller game with less cat herding.
Also painting up more figures for 2nd Seminole War SP and more terrain in 6mm. Mark |

I, too relied on my club's monthly game nights, plus a SAGA campaign one of the guys was running. Too, another club member was just about to start an ancients campaign using
Hannibal at the Gates, a set of rules written by one of the members. All that is on hold now, but about eight of us (out of 30) have been meeting every Sunday via Zoom to catch up on what we've been working on and do show-and-tell.
I'm retired, so what has really changed is the extended time indoors and the drop off of lunches and meetings related to my civic engagement. I've been using the inside time to push forward painting for my 20mm Spanish Civil War project, using the
Espana! variant of CoC. Just finished a miliciana sniper team and am closing in on completing a platoon of Nationalist infantry. A platoon of Nationalist Requetes is completed as well as most of a platoon of Republican Ejercito de la Republica infantry. Also have been taking advantage of sales by some of the vendors who now are not going to be able to sell their wares at spring conventions. I discovered Diabolical Terrain, which has a nice line of 3D printed buildings for a variety of periods, scalable from 15mm to 28mm. I ordered a bridge, windmill, church and small house from them for the SCW project. Speedy delivery.

Since our local clubs meetings have been suspended, been keeping in touch via email, facebook and twitter. Just before Xmasduring a minor sort out of the garage I found my old 6mm Napoleonics from 25 years ago, and discovered I still had a division of Spanish, and almost the same of French and Portuguese left to paint, so have been working on them the last few weeks. Just about finished now, and rebased some of them so they're suitable?for Dave Browns General d'armee rules. Planning on nicking the dining room table next week and heaving?a trial Solo game. Egg |

On a personal level, I've been painting a lot of things from my lead/resin/[plastic mountain and prepping up things so I can paint whatever takes my fancy. A few of us from my club are playing an email-based strategic game based on a fantasy continent, and some more of us are also playing a Call of Cthulhu game via Google hangouts, although we are going to switch to Zoom for the next round. I have also roped my non-gaming partner into a couple of games, one of WaT and another of CoC.

Not much different for me, if anything even busier. Trying to work as normal and help my wife care for and school 4 kids, though only the older two are old enough for actual work, the middle is only doing basic sounds, counting etc. Really busy.
Hobby wise I've gotten off to a good start to my second force for Seven Spears (Japanese Dux). A friend was working on a force but that fell by the wayside for him so I decided to do a second for some solo games. We've both started little Warhammer Fantasy warbands for some small skirmish, probably using Pulp Alley. He is very excited for Infamy, Infamy and will probably end up doing at least 2 sides for that. I treated myself to the Lord of the Rings lcg starter box for a bit of quick solo gaming, though I've spent a few days trying to understand the rules decently as its a pretty hefty game. I've been considering doing something in 15mm, maybe for Sharp Practice 2 but my main goal is to get my a Japanese done. Hope everyone stays safe and well.? Richard |

Hi All, Need to finish some Eureka US & Germans. Also looking at getting British as I want to do some IABSM - COC games in that ignored corner of the world Tunisia. I like the Eureka 20mm's, sold in full squad by nationality packs and with proper mix of weapons. Great job! If I decide to do some Sicily - Italy games later will add fallschirmjager. Setting up a scenario for Sam Mustafa's "Rommel" to play with a friend later this week. We have a safe way to do it without going electronic. Other than that I just check to see if I'm still alive from time to time. Stay cheerful and entertained. Work has been really full on for a while now and the club meets plus one evening a week was pretty much all my face to face social time. Definitely missing it!
We've been doing a Wednesday hobby night on Discord to keep in touch which has been good fun. Hobby-wise I'd just been seduced into starting a new army for 40k which I happened to get a few bits for before everything went totally insane so I've been doing that. I've finished my first section of 1917-18 British for TTM&B so I should look into ordering the next batch of those really, they're just sat on a shelf looking at me. There's also my British Hussars and rifles to finish off. Unfortunately for me none of my collections stretch to both sides of a single game yet, so I can't really play much in the way of solo games, as much as I'd love to! |

Walking the dog. Such a taskmaster. Assembling a HO German steam locomotive kit, cleaning my gaming table off and fixing damaged models, mostly TAU. Putting away a finished 15mm German Para 10cm mortar battery, Maus, Soviet Lee, British Para 4.2" mortar battery. Inventorying 28mm Napoleonic French and British. Finishing Kroot, Para 75mm Mountain battery, Soviet and German Paratroops. Then my painting backlog.... |

I have been working from home so while I do not have a commute saving a hour or more each day, work is crazy. Mostly issues around communications.? Gaming wise I am helping a club create a quick and dirty set of rules for WWII naval combat. 4 games so far online and I only lost one ship, it was the Hood. ;-)? Painting is going well, finished 11 models this weekend and closing in on another dozen or so. Waiting on bases to finish a 15mm Polish BK Brigade platoon. The TK/TKS are almost done.? After that one to some Spanish cruisers to go with the American 1898 warships.? Only issues so far is slowing down of the postal service, need to order a few figures and file fillers for my forces. Luckily most companies are still working and I appreciate them so much.? Jon?
