Any possibility of moving from X/Twitter to BlueSky?

Well hell.? That is the one thing that may get me to blue sky.

Chaps.? I am not leaving Twitter behind for announcements, I'm just not going to post as much on there on a daily basis as every time I go there I get assailed by politics.? Usually British politics, but sometimes global and often very nationalist in nature. I find it all jarring and would prefer to avoid it, so I am trying BlueSky.? Whether that is any better, who knows?? Sadly where we used to keep a corner of twitter pretty much to ourselves, that seems to be increasingly difficult.? Maybe the same will happen with BlueSky.?

As Chuck has said, there are too many lines of comms open to do them all very effectively.? My post was really just to say that if I am posting pictures of todays bacon sandwich, I am more likely to do so on Blue Sky as I am less likely to be assailed by an aggressive vegan or a Scottish nationalist who things that all bacon has been stolen from Scotland by English colonisers.

That's all.? TFL announcements will be on Twitter as before and Facebook.?

Cheers

Rich? ?

I have not checked it out but from a forum that I frequent they say that if you tell it you are interested in X, Y, and Z that is what you get unlike on Facebook that often ignores what you want.

Moved to bluesky in the last week or so and it does feel very refreshingly calm compared to other options.

Not sure what happened to facebook but my feed recently seems to be massively spammed with garbage of late.

All these medias move on with time, sadly almost no-one is still using the io email group now.? However TFL have Facebook groups for themselves and the various rule?sets have their own pages. I can understand not wanting to go on X? or twitter.its gone downhill fast since mr Musk bought it. But I would definitely recommend?going on bluesky - there's a big Lardie presence on there?or Facebook if you want a medium where its?easier to follow? thread.
Hopefully see you there?

You should avoid the politics of "this vs that" and focus on your most excellent games, and communicate via "all of the above" using something like HootSuite, which is a social media platform that lets you make one post that goes to multiple social media accounts.
?
?
And frankly, younger gamers avoid all the "Boomer tech" as my son's friend called it (referring to FB, Twitter, etc.) and they congregate on Discord and Instagram,

Because facebook sucks and Musk is unhinged?

But of course, YMMV

What is Blue Sky?
At the risk of a weather report.?
I’ve got a MacBook 9 years old
But when I asked about a text editor for a website and programming. Deathly silence.?
I presume that blue sky is ok for ms and Ubuntu but iOS??

Bluesky, a twitter-like social media platform, can be accessed as any other website through your browser?;-)

Good luck

You Mac will be fine.
The standard text editor which comes with the Mac is fine for websites and programming, or you can download Emacs for OSX. Available for both Intel and later Macs
