IABSM to Infamy

My first set of Lardy rules was I Ain't Been Shot, Mum. Probably more for the title than anything else, although a review by Rich Jones in some online magazine or other convinced me to go for it.

My latest set of Lardy rules arrived this morning (the hard copy version) and is the Infamy bundle.

I have not had a single 'duff' set of rules from the guys and the production values just keep getting better.

Just look at the visual improvement between the rules in the two attached images. Now in both cases the rules offer an excellent game. But there's a whole world of difference between the production values of the two. One is a couple of steps up from a club produced set of rules. The other can stand alongside the most expensive of them and not look out of place.

Only one thing stops this potentially being the golden age of wargaming ... painting the bloody figures. If I somehow managed to sort that out, I'd be in gamer paradise. :-)

Cheers
Chris

I've not bought?Infamy (working on Japanese to use with Dux), but my first set were printed out Sharp Practice 1. I often take out my books just to page through as they look so good. And also to pine over as I have no time for games but that's a different story!

I bought Infamy to support the Lardie cause but I'm immersed in IABSM at the moment and musing on getting into Sharpe in the Peninsula with SP2

I'm busily painting forces for Infamy, unlike everyone else it would seem,? but that doesn't stop me also working on 1745 for SP2, and forces for Chain of Command. Real wargames butterfly I'm afraid,

Doug

I too bought Infamy to support TFL, but I’m cramming to get a TCHAE game of the whole of Antietam played on 17 Sep.
